89 I-6 had almost no compression in 2 and 3 cylinder so i started tearing it down for a valve job,when i got the valve cover off number 2 and 3 intake valve rockers were off the pushrods.they are bent also.i just got this truck and it ws this way when i got it.i wonder what caused this ,you think someone has overevved this thing or the valve springs are too weak.i think the push rods were jammed up binding the valves open.i took the bolt loose and removed the pushrods and did a compression and compression was 150 to 180 on all cylinders but number 3 is a little low maybe close to 120 but im using a push in compression tester thats unreliable.im thinking maybe it was ran a long time with the cylinders not firing and the valves are sticking from being carboned up
