Battery tray pad question

Battery tray pad question
I did a forum search, but did not see an answer to my question. My question is on a pad to set the battery on in the battery tray. My battery is on the old stock tray under the cab floor. I still have old bias tires and the ride of the truck is rough at times - even with a rubber and post tie-down, I think the battery vibrates a lot and I'm not sure it is good for function and life of the battery.
Does anyone know of a good commercial pad to put under the battery or has anyone made one themselves (if so what materials)?
It may not really be needed, but has anyone used one?

I went to a big box fabric and craft store and got some material that resembled what a mouse pad is made from - about the same thickness too. Kind of half rubber/half black synthetic fabric and cut it to size. I soaked it in WD-40 before laying it down so it won't rust underneath. It was inexpensive and has held up for three years so far. It should dampen any vibration.
Hope this helps.

If you use an Optima YellowTop or RedTop battery they are not as susceptible to vibration damage due to their spiral plate design and absorbent glass mat that hold the electrolyte in suspension, also prevents spills.

I like the Yellowtop because although a bit more expensive than the RedTop it is designed to hold a charge longer. Better for occasional use.
