2013 Explorer Sport Sunroof shade clicking
The blackout screen for the full top sunroof 'clicks' as it moves, sounds like a plastic gear has a broken tooth and snaps as it moves it....
It DOES move it all the way back and forward over both the fixed and movable skylight, but hesitant to use it now that it is clicking...
brought it to the ford dealer to get oil change, etc... and asked them to look at it, but they didn't
(of course,
they forgot to put parts on my $29.95 "The Works" oil change invoice so took 30 minutes to check out and ended up costing me $50+!!!,
and lost one of the sports wheel lug nut covers !,
and didn't reset the oil life monitor such that my health report shows 1% oil life left after a 10 mile drive home,
so silly me, why would they be competent at anything ! )
Anyone else have any experience with the shade mechanism ???

Reviving thread.....
Our 13 did the same thing, and the dealer replaced the shade assembly. Did you get yours figured out?
Now i have issues with the motors.... started as just the window motor, and while testing and removing the motors, now neither one works!
i guess i am lucky the window is currently closed!
