White/blue smoke after new lift pump...normal?

I just installed a new lift pump and re-sealed my fuel bowl. I re-filled the bowl before starting and it fired up after a couple seconds of cranking. I drove it outside and left it at high idle for 20 mins and the whole time it was putting out a blue-ish white smoke, even after it was up to operating temp. If I stepped on the accelerator, it would make a white cloud and smoke more. Do I still have air in the fuel system? Idles and runs as well as it did before fuel pump swap. 180k miles and original injectors, did I finish them off?

fuel pump replace would not do that, possible you hit your GPR and its not engaging the GPs?

I suspected that could be the case, but the smoke persisted even at normal operating temperature. It idles a little rough too, the truck has a shake to it that doesn't seem normal.

Can an injector become stuck open?

possible you moved or broke a UVCH and its not making contact now

If its smoking even at full temp maybe something else happened when in there

Thanks for the replies, I'll have to do some more digging. I would like to think its not the glowplugs, GPR, VC's or UVCH's because they are all new in the last three months and all MOTORCRAFT. But, new parts can fail. I also replaced the external valve cover gasket connectors with the International kit. Maybe I crossed a wire but the truck runs too well for me to really suspect that.
