died driving down highway
2006 f350 6.0. I was driving for about 10 hours and truck ran fine. Until with no warning it just died. Got it towed home and now I try to start. It turns over fine but no fire. I know not to use but we used starter fluid to see of it would fire thinking maybe file filter bit still no fire with the starter fluid. I find it weird that it won't fire even on stater fluid. The engine oil was very low as well but since topped it up. Can anyone please help.

You're going to need to list what year and if it's an Excursion or Super Duty.
You will also need a way to monitor things to give us feedback on engine vitals. Either a Scangauge, smart phone app like Forscan with an OBDII Bluetooth adapter ect....
To start, remove the oil filter cap and filter. Is it wet with oil? Now have someone crank it or use the starter trigger wire near the passenger side firewall to crank it and watch to verify the filter bowl fills quickly. If you have NO oil filling up then you have a low oil pressure delivery problem.
You can also check for fuel by removing the secondary engine fuel filter and have someone turn on the key and it should fill with fuel quickly. You should also be able to hear the fuel pump running for 15-20 seconds when the key is turned on.
If those are good, the other vitals will need to be checked with a monitor. Things like ICP, ICP volts, IPR%, FICM voltages, FICM sync, CRANK/CAM sync, ect....

Yep, could be any number of things but sounds like a high pressure oil problem, at least at first think.
No way you can tell without getting something to read the PCM. (torque pro with bluetooth dongle, scanner, something)
I had mine die like that and it was a blown o ring on one of the standpipes.
Need more info from you, for sure, but folks here are glad to help.

From going through this myself, there are a few things that cause the no start.
What is the fuel level? Some of these won't start without a good bit of fuel, there is a sensor in there. Load test both batteries. Check Relay 304 in the fuse box under the hood near the drivers side, front. (FICM) Check the socket for that too, to make sure it is getting contact. Find the emergency fuel cutoff in the passenger door area and push that.
Don't crank on it without charging up the batteries first or having jumper cables on it or you can fry the FICM.
While still working blind you can unplug the ICP and see if it starts with that unplugged, if it does, replace it.
