Need help ID'ing part please!

I've been working on my 1985 E150, and I've come across a part that I can't identify. This is coming from a hose from off of the carb (return maybe?). Any help figuring out what it is would be greatly appreciated. Cotton

Ive always called that a bowl vent solenoid. It connects the fuel bowl vent to the charcoal canister.

Sadly, the replacement part for the Canister Purge Valve has a different connection than the one I have here.

Standard CP402 Vapor Canister Purge Valve | eBay

Part number I found for 84/up E150 with 6 or 8 cylinder is E4AZ-9C915-A

I found this under CX-907

It's different than what I've found on the parts store websites - which are similar to what you've posted (BWD PN: CP130).

Wow, that's just awesome. Much appreciated Rusty! Looks like a good PN is going to be: E3TE-9C915-AA

EDIT: Ford PN: E3TE-9C915-AA is NOT the correct part. See post #19 for more info.

One of the first rules in posting questions is to tell us everything about the vehicle. You are a newbie so I'll overlook it this time. And, how it hooks up matters greatly on these trucks. But, here's what the setup looks like on a 460, with the part you are asking about apparently being 9B982:

Having said that, there aren't many different part numbers:

I appreciate your patience, but the pic was of a straight six, and I assumed everyone here would know it wasn't a 240.

If I assume you posted the right pic I might send you off buying the wrong part. You might have just posted it 'cause it showed the part you were talking about - as I did of the 460. PLEASE tell us everything about the vehicle that is pertinent. And the best way to do that is to put it in your sig since on multi-page threads I rarely take the time to scroll back up to the opening post and try to figure out what is going on.

Quick follow-up, I just ordered Ultra-Power PN: CP400 from R.A. Just wanted to let the good folks know that there are new pieces out there that carry a manufacturer's warranty - in case anyone's sketchy on NOS parts. Thanks again for all the helpful input. Cheers, Cotton

EDIT: Ultra-Power PN: CP400 is NOT the correct part. See post #19 for more info.
