Mounting of temperature sensor for 7.3 powerstroke manual transmission

Paul, I don't believe they are prone to overheating, but I suppose anything is possible if the fluid is low or you are just beating on it.
Motard, when I first bought my truck and realized that the ZF6 did not have a temperature sensor I did some research on how to get one. Below is a link to a thread here on FTE that I found after my first search on Google.

Frankly, I decided it was not worth the effort and went with a boost gauge as my third gauge in the pillar pod. YMMV though, good luck and let us know what you decide.
