So I have always wondered about the aftermarket efi systems. I always hated jetting and tuning carbs. I got a rebuilt motor and trans cheap with money left over. I had rebuilt the 2150 I had ,but could not find a specific part for it which gave me problems. the engine came with a 4bbl intake, and a edelbrock 1406 which looked like it had been soaked in dishwaser detergent and left to dry and corrode. So I looked at carburetors. I began thinking of all the math and what would be best for the motor with little knowledge of the engine and if the cam was upgaded during the rebuild. I looked into fitech and decided to pull the trigger on the go street efi 400. I will keep everyone updated on the install.
Subscribing... Looking to do the swap on my '77. I'm on the fence though; truck makes about 350hp/450tq at the flywheel and I don't need timing control. Not sure if I go the cheaper 400 or pony up for the 600.
Well looks like mine wont ship until the 29th.. I was going to use the fuel command center, but went a cheaper route. I plan on running the return line to the filler neck using a morsso filler neck return line kit. It gives me time to remove the 1 inch thick oil crud and repaint the frame.. I just need to find out where to sell all the mustang asseories that were on the motor i got.. donr really wanna mess with Craigslist..
Yeah Im trying to remove the clutter under my hood and the command center though quiet (so I have heard) would look funky, also it just ads another point of failure.
Let me know how you like their pump setup, one review on summit said its noisy. I've found an entire setup for a '95 f-150 on Rockauto.com for $188 shipped. That's a new 19 gallon rear tank, pump and sending unit installed and new straps. Pretty good deal
I didnt go with their pump, I bought all the stuff I needed seperate. Wish I would have thought of your Idea, but I have dual tanks and didnt know how to go about it. I plan on using a rubber pad and washers to cut down on the noise.

How do you plan on accommodating the dual tank set up?
I am going to have to go back to the drawing board. I didnt do enough research. I think I have to replace my lines from the tank with high pressure lines which means droping the tank...
