Am I on the right path?

I have a 2wd 02 F250 5.4 with an auto trans. It's my daily driver/work vehicle and has an aluminum contractor cap on it. I've been searching the forum for a couple of months reading up on giving this truck just a little more ump. I'm not trying to make a race car out of it, just a better daily driver due to the additional weight on it and I also use it to tow a car trailer and Jeep roughly 3 times a year. The Jeep and trailer together weigh around 6500 lbs.

What I have.

5.4 auto 2wd extended cab completely stock except y-pipe was installed by previous owner with 156K miles
3.73 rear end
stock wheels and tires 265/75/16

What I think I need/want to do.

Add custom 5 star tuner
Add performance muffler. Would a complete Cat back give it much more power to justify the cost difference?
Go to 4.11 gears in the rear end. I drive on the expressway a lot, will 4.10 be to much? I'm at 2000 rpm at 70 now.

I'm up in the air about a CAI. I've read several times on here that the factory intake flows almost as much as a CAI but looking at the 5 Star tuning site they have a one that flows 26% more than stock.

Am I headed in the right direction? What say you? Thanks in advance!

look up the zoodad mod on youtube will save you some money on the CAI personally i am not a fan unless the stock intake has alot of bends and not alot of straight sections.
the ypipe saved you some money. the cat back system eh unless you are wanting to do a custom true dual exhaust not really going to benefit from a cat back system personal preference i would just cut off stock muffler and find you a muffler with the sound you want. anything aftermarket is going to flow better than the stock muffler. 5 star tune from what i have read on here every one loves them can not go wrong with them if i had the extra funds i would be inclined to get one. the gears go with 4.30 i have 4.10s and do not hate them but would like something like the 4.30s for better towing at freeway speeds
