Securing baby seat in F250 extended cab
Hi,
Anyone got an idea or two on how to efficiently and safely secure a babyset in the backset of a F250 XLT extended cab? I've got the seatbelt securing the babyseat. However, there is one more safety strap that is tied to the top of the babyseat and in sedans and wagons just goes over the backseat into the cargo area or into the trunk and is then fastened. So I was thinking about securing some time of strap which the babyseat strap could hook into. However, I don't want to drill holes though the back of the cab unless this is the last resort. This second strap really needs to be secured otherwise the babyseat will rock back and forward. It's a little bit of a rough ride for my two-year old son when we go over the bumps without a load in the bed.
Thanks, Rivdog

Flip that jump seat forward and you can see where the factory belts for the center passenger are secured. You may be able to connect the strap for the baby seat there. BTW, the back of the jump seat folds forward too.
Heh heh, you must have got a new truck!

Guys,
Thanks for your help. I forgot to mention it's a 1993 F-250 (which I just bought so it's new to me). So, Horsepuller, I did buy some webbing (like rock climbers use) which is a half inch wide and 4 feet long. I tied it into where the center belts are secured as you suggested. And then I was able to have the baby set hook onto it. Baby and baby seat are a lot snugger now!
Thanks, Rivdog
