95 f150 5.0 swap into 98 expo what will I need?
Hey guys I have a 95 f150 parts truck with a 5.0 with 50k and a bad tranny (5spd) 4x4. I'm getting a 98 explorer xlt with high miles and I'm curious as to what the swap will require like what do I keep what can I drop and what will I need to buy? Thanks in advance!

Welcome to FTE.
What motor is in the Explorer?
There are some differences in Explorer motors vs pickup, car, older motors etc.
The Explorer motor is shorter overall due to a different front cover and waterpump and maybe some other items.
If your Explorer is a V8, you should be able to transfer those bits to the newer motor, along with the intake, exhaust, sensors etc.
If your Explorer is NOT a V8 then I would rethink the swap.
