Well I got my hitch... just need the truck now..

 

Well the motor went in my 2015 F-150 3.5 Platinum yesterday... Dealer has me rocking a base model F-150. My new truck can't come soon enough..

 

I don't think the axle ratio is a choice. The FX4 off-road package mandates the electronic locking 3.55 in your configuration (SRW, 6.7L). You'd have to drop the FX4 package to get the 3.31

 

Oh no! Would have been nice if it waited a couple more weeks...


My F-150 5.4L gave me a scare as I was debating whether to upgrade or drive it another year. Started mis-firing and having all kinds of timing issues. Mechanic said replace the engine. Couldn't see putting that kind of $$ into it, so a wing and a prayer he ran a cleaner through the oil system thinking maybe the flow was restricted and messing up the timing. Got really lucky and it worked. Best $140 I ever spent on vehicle.


Is the EB still under warranty?

 

Yeah.. bad timing but luckily it is under warranty. hopefully nothing fishy happened and ford doesn't try to skate out of it. should help that the dealership it is at has my new truck on order.

 

On a positive note I had movement on the COTUS page today!! i've moved into production, as of week ago they were saying that it was scheduled for the 4/3 and dealer should see it on the 17th, but maybe it fell onto the line earlier.. One can only hope especially with my current situation.

 

I'm jealous, I'm 23 days in and still at "Order Processing" with no VIN from the dealer. I guess I must have a weird build.

Hopefully I fall into one of those scenarios where it's still progressing but isn't being updated.

 

I now have a window sticker!! I know there is a way to get the build dates and stuff off of the coding on the sticker, can someone help me out with this?

 

Not that it's a huge help, but the 03 29 17 under the "SPECIAL ORDER" is the official build date.

 

Ohh okay good to know! I wonder if thats the start of the vehicle going down the line or the date of completion?

 

I got my sticker but COTUS still displays no item.
Oh Well, at least it should only be a couple more weeks.

 

Well I had to use a google link to search for my window sticker because I can't find the link on the COTUS page.

 

Here is the condition of my current truck... Engine coming out of my current and engine going into my new one at the same time..
