1952 F1 1/2 Ton speedo gear

Looking for a speedometer gear for my 1952 3 speed. Can find 1953 and up but not the '52. Any idea who has them and does anyone have a picture of one so I know what to look for?
Thanks?
Ray

DRIVE gear (on the output shaft) or DRIVEN gear (at the end of the cable)?

Rear axle ratio must also be known.

What is your rear axle ratio? I seem to remember Bill also needs to know your tire size using the notation of vintage sizes. For example, a modern tire size of 195/70R14 is equivalent to a vintage tire size of 6.50-14.

I guess Bills chart works only in vintage sizes. So you'll need to figure out your current tire size, then find a conversion chart to see what vintage size your modern tire corresponds to.

O1Y-17271-F .. 23T Speedometer DRIVEN Gear / Obsolete

1950/52 F1 with 3 M/T, 3.92-1 and 6.00 x 16 tires.

NOS PARTS SOURCE in Olathe KS has 1 = 913-220-5746.

COLLECTORS AUTO SUPPLY in Blaine WA shows 1 = 800-414-4462.

When you call this place, they usually say they have to 'check the warehouse,' but their warehouse is usually a Ford dealer on a site that the general public cannot access.

No Ford dealer has any, so Collectors may have it, may not.

Here is what I took out of the tranny. No speedo gear was attached. Does this look correct for a 1952 F1 3 speed? Is this the end of a speedo cable? I'm pretty sure it's an 3 speed overdrive tranny. So, would part # O1Y-17271-F work with this?
Thanks

If it has Overdrive, O1Y-17271-F is the WRONG speedo DRIVEN gear.

But Overdrive was not available until 1953 (F100).

Overdrive engaged via a cable located to the left of the steering column under the dash, mounted to a bracket.

Yup, that's it! I can't thank you enough for the help. The speedo driven gear is abundant for this year tranny.

If your 1952 F1 has a swapped in Overdrive, the 3.92-1 speedo DRIVEN gear is B5A-17322-A 20T

NOS PARTS LTD in Waxahachie TX has 5 = 972-937-2201.

GREEN SALES CO. in Cincinnati OH has 8 = 800-543-4959.

CARPENTER NOS OBSOLETE PARTS in Concord NC has 905 = 800-476-9653.

I'm pretty sure I've seen this gear listed in Carpenter's 1948/56 truck repro parts catalog.

Speedo gear inside tranny

OK, thank you to everyone for your help. I got the correct cable and gear. I have another question. When I put my finger into the tranny where the gear and cable go I feel a gear. It must be the gear that turns the speedo driven gear. I can spin it freely even when the tranny is in gear. Of course it's not running when I'm spinning it. Is this normal? Seems like when the tranny is in gear it shouldn't spin until it's moving forward. Hope this makes sense.
Thanks,
Ray

The speedo drive gear is keyed to the mainshaft, see below. It should not spin.

I'd be interested to see the installation of the OD trans in a '52; many have tried and failed. Do you have the brake MC in the stock location?

Actually, turns out to be out of a 1956, not a 1952.
