New USA Goodyear Endurance LRE

I was at the local Goodyear tire store today and asked if they carried any made in USA trailer tires. I was told that Goodyear just released a new ST tire made in the USA. I got a price for a new set. I Googled them when I got home and apparently they are so new that no one has reviewed them yet. I have been running LT tires for about 10 years but I am tempted to try these out. I looked them up on Tirerack and they say country of origin USA. Does anyone have any input on them yet??

The Endurance is what came on my 5er as a spare. A 235/85r16 load range E. It is stamped Made in the USA on the sidewall. I am guessing this is the tire Jayco would have used if we had not ordered the upgraded tires and rims.

I read on one forum somewhere that Jayco was going to begin using the Endurance exclusively on all their lines.

Subscribed as I am in the market for new 5th wheel tires. The Sailun S637 are currently at the top of my list, but things can change.

Looking forward to hearing more about the Goodyear tires.

Do yourself a favor and get the sailun. You'll thank me later. I've had mine for about 2 years. Not one single issue. These are serious heavy duty tires. I'm talking big rig tires. When I got mine, I took them to a local shop to install them. The tire alone is heavier than the wheel and tire combined of the original China bombs. Make sure you get metal valve stems.

I looked at them online. I see they are G rated. Are you running them on your wheels that came on the 5th wheel with the E rated Tires? If so, what PSi have you been using. I found the Salium online for about the same price as the Goodyear so I may be interested.

Yes, I have them on my fifth wheel. My rims are rated for 110 psi. I run them at 110psi all the time. They run cool, only 10-15 degrees above ambient air temp. G rated is the way to go

I found the specs for my wheels on line and they are rated for 110psi. Good info, thanks.

Just ordered a set of the GY Endurance for my 5er. Getting rid of the Constancy (from China) that came on the trailer.

The ones in the link above are E rated. Just under $150, more affordable than my XPS Ribs for sure. Waiting to see how the reviews start to show once they've been on the road a couple of years. I have a bit more time to run my commercial LT Michelin XPS Ribs, so not a big hurry quite yet. Anxious to hear good news for ST tires. Go USA ! ! !

Well I couldn't wait any longer. I went with what I know and put Michellins back on it yesterday. I couldn't get a single tire store to order the Sailun tires and I didn't want to deal with hassles. I could have gotten the Goodyears for about $190 less, but there just isn't enough info out there yet. Michellin hasn't let me down yet so at least I'll feel good while I'm towing.

I put the Goodyear Endeavors on Saturday and put 600 highway miles on over the weekend, had the TPMS sensors put in for the Ford system, too. Enjoyed it.

I hope they work out. I will consider them for my next set. Hopefully by then they will have a great track record.
