I know some of you have installed this on your 2017 Superduty. Did you have to use shims for the rails? If so, did you have to purchase them separately?

Huh, okay thanks. It just seems like the rails don't sit flush and need shims. Thanks.

Awesome, thank you. Mine came with shims on the top of the rails which makes it slant downward. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to add shims to the bottom or just take the top shims off. I'll probably do what you did and take them off as well.

I put mine on with the Shims in place and it works really well the cover clicks into place and holds nice and tight. I had a bit of damage in shipping, and they insisted on replacing the top. Good company, stand behind their product, and it fits nicely on my truck.

I don't recall seeing shims in my kit and if they were on the rail I didn't notice anything unusual so my assumption is I do not have shims and I know I did not had shims and mine works great.

Shims

The shims are pre attached to the bed rails, so you have to remove them if you do not want them on. I left them on and mine works fine.
