My brakes suck... there is something WRONG!
Ok, my brakes have felt the same since I got the truck. I push a little harder that I should have to (not a hard pedal, but further to the floor than normal to where it's harder to push) get the truck to stop. If I want to brake check someone that's riding my bumper I have to REALLY smash the pedal and even then it doesn't grab hard or lock up. Since I have owned the truck I have put all new pads, rotors, and calipers ( https://www.summitracing.com/parts/p...odel/excursion ) on, Russel braided lines front and rear (all 3 on the rear), and flushed ALL of the old fluid from the truck (Twitch and I went through 2 large bottles when we did the brakes).
After all of this there has been no change in my brakes at all. Not one bit. What's odd is sometimes after it rains when I first get in the truck the first time I stop I get massive awesome brakes, but just the once. So any ideas guys?
I never have a spongy pedal, and I never lose pressure, I just have ****ty brakes.

Well, it is an 8000# vehicle. That said, I just finished the Powerstop upgrade that I started in October this past weekend (front in October, rear in March), and I couldn't be happier.
I had a similar problem in a Bronco I used to have. Was a bad master cylinder. Tried bleeding it and it marginally helped. After replacing the master cyl, the brakes were great.

Have you tried activating the ABS? Maybe find a gravel road and hit them hard so the ABS activates. Otherwise I would bleed the system again. You can try running a house from the farthest caliper to the master, moving your way forward, this should help bleed the air from the system and master cylinder.

We have a lot of "low speed" areas around my town. If it says 25, I do 25. I'm from Smith County Texas, it's probably the worst jurisdiction in the US... seriously, books have been written and people have been killed/framed by police. I'm super cautious when I drive and when someone rides my *** for 2 blocks or flashes their lights at me I don't do that "Fine, I'll just drive slower" ****, I just brake check them. Sure I've had a few close calls, and sure I've even been hit once or twice, but I've never had any damage done to my truck
