1948 f1 transmission/clutch "stuck"

Ok.. so i'm trying to push my clutch pedal to move the transmission clutch fork/throw out bearing so i can move thru my 3 spd transmission and the clutch pedal to transmission lever hardly moves..maybe 1/4 inch and even so still cant get the transmission to shift thru gears..I think my transmission lever isn't moving enough..sorry for the laymen explanation/description of what I'm dealing with but any thoughts of what might be my problem?

I assume you pulled the pin out of the connection at the trans? It won't work without it (very well).

Try disconnecting that joint completely and putting a big crescent wrench on the clutch shaft. You should be able to move it with some effort.

Yea I took the pin out when I was fooling with it.
Put the crescent wrench on the clutch shaft and same 1/4" movement..
Guess this means pulling the trani down again..DAMN!
Anyway, when I do what should I be looking for.
Thanks

Did the clutch work previously? Before you go to the trouble of pulling the trans, look in thru the inspection cover and see if there is anything obvious. If you do pull it, take some pics and post them.

ok so I opened up the inspection plate and from what I can see the clutch fork and the bearing are moving freely BUT..the fork that pushes the bearing onto the clutch pressure plate doesn't move the clutch?? view showing the fork, bearing pressing up against the pressure plate fingers which wont press forward with the bearing

Tell us what you know about the truck. Where did the rust in the transmission come from? Has the truck been running? Was it submerged? If the rest of the transmission looks as bad as the main drive, it may not shift. The sliders (sliding gears) may be rusted to the shaft.

Ok..so here r some pics of trani..not rusted just orange color..grease? Turns smoothly..
Clutch shaft moves smoothly when turned and springs back as supposed to..my problem appears to be in the pressure plate..is itb installed correctly? or did I buy the wrong clutch plate that maybe I should of purchased along with the pressure plate to be absolutely sure the two were compatible?..plate went onto the spline just fine..so aren't those clutch fingers not budgeting when in turn the clutch shaft lever?

Have you checked for retaining straps or clips on the three clutch release actuator arms, for lack of better terminology? Can you move each of those arms individually?
The short side of the spline hub should be against the flywheel and yours appear to be that way.
