2006 Expy King Ranch window seal replacement
Hi guys,
Quick question. I have read several threads where people have screeching windows when going up or down, and water leaking into the doors when it rains. But I can not find a thread where it is discussed how to replace the glass window seals and with which part they need to be replaced.
When it rains my doors fill up with water since I am parked nose down. So when I drive off, I leave a trail of water running out my doors. I don't mind the trail of water so much but the thought of having water standing inside my doors for a length of time is concerning.
Any help would be appreciated.

I don't think any window seal is 100% leak proof, but the amount of water should be minimal and I believe there are drains which are supposed to let the water run through and not sit there for any length of time. If the leak is excessive and you have obvious cracks in the seal, it's time to replace it. If not, then it is probably fine. To this date, I've never replaced one of these seals on any cars I've had, and my oldest car was a 1963 Cadillac.
Perhaps the drains are clogged?

Thank you for both responses. The drains are not clogged, they are just in the back of the doors (where the door locks are) and when parked nose down all the water accumulates in the front of the doors.
Alloro - drilling holes in the door will give a penetration point through the paint won't it? Is there a good way to seal those drill points? Have you done this to your cars?
Thanks for the help.

If you're concerned over rust forming around the drill holes, drill the holes then paint them. Yes I have done this over the years to various vehicles that accumulate water in various locations, some of those plastic headlights too.
