Dana 60 swap questions

Well this is my first post, and am hopeful i can get some help!
I found a dana 60 I would like to swap into my 1997 F250 to replace the worn out dana 50 ttb and I have a couple questions about the swap.
First question, will my stock 250 leaf springs work in this swap? If not where should I go to get some stock 350 springs?.
Next question, the axle I found is missing the drivers side lower spring plate... from what I've seen they must be made of gold, correct? Where could I find one of these plates? Or should I start grinding on the housing and do the U-Bolt flip?
Last question, what options are there for the Track bar and upper frame mount? Should I buy a new upper mount and track bar? Or make something custom? I'm trying to complete this swap without breaking the bank...

I just did the SAS swap on my 96 F250, I used the stock springs but it rides rough.

Got lucky and the track bar and mounting bracket came with it, along with the lower U bolt bracket. I didn't use the track bar and had a adjustable one made.

The track bar mounting bracket could be made easily from some flat stock.

The F-250 springs fit, but they are quite a bit stiffer than the F-350 springs (due to the TTB suspension geometry they don't move as much as springs on a solid axle so they have to be stiffer). So as 96Forge found, they ride rough (worse than either a stock F-250 or a stock F-350).

Ok just wasnt sure if there would be clearance issues with the axle using the stock f250 springs since they are reverse arched. I think I can make a track bar and upper mount. Just need to find the lower ubolt plate and from the sound of it I'm gonna need to find some 350 springs or I'm gonna rattle my teeth out going down my dirt road driveway haha.

The Dana 60 will give the front a 1" to 2" lift when installed. My truck had the 460 in it so I don't know if they were different than other engines.

NEW F350 springs are about $150 each. No point in putting in 20+ year old worn out springs

I'm sure your a longgg ways from me but I do have some stock f350 springs. I'm in Nova Scotia, Canada lol, so I'm sure your nowheres near me.

And I did the sas into a 97 f250 and used superduty springs with a reverse shackle kit and have no complaints on how it rode! Depends on if your looking for lift and how much you are wanting to spend.

JMO I don't know why you would want to switch to a solid axle but since you are, get the PMF RSK and super duty springs. My 97 350 rode like crap with the stock 350 springs but I put the PMF RSK with U code super duty springs on it and it rides a lot better now.
