Are you sure you do not have delay wipers? And you are not turning it enough? Does the **** have a long rotation like the headlight switch? If not then sounds like you have had a internal failure of the wiper switch. Replacement time.

I have the delay wipers and on both wiper switches I have had installed, the off position is NOT at the end of the **** rotation, it is in the middle - from furthest left I have high speed, low speed, off, and then the interval settings.

Sounds like the grommets that your wiper motor is mounted with are worn out. Wipers are wired hot all the time,( I know, right?) so if the motor touches any metal it completes ground circuit and they come on. Get some new grommets, or better yet install entire new wiper motor assy since that one has been on there a long time

A good friend of mine just last weekend had the same problem with his new dent, I showed him the delay wiper option....so don't feel bad.

My friend also said the defroster doesn't work? I asked him why? He said the guy he bought it from said the defrost doesn't work? I reached up to the climate control and pulled the arm over to defrost mode and it worked....
