I am fixing to change my power steering pump out. When ordering on line there is a pump with a metric fitting and a pump with a standard fitting. Without pulling the fitting and measuring the threads how would I be able to tell? I am going to put a wrench on the fitting in the morning I hope only a standard or metric fits not both.

 

You have to pull the pulley first before the pump comes off, then you reuse the bolts. That is if I'm understanding your question correctly.

There are the choices, I know I have one inlet tube but the hard line has a fitting on it. I believe that's what their talking about. I could be wrong. I ordered the pully puller set on Amazon yesterday. I gonna fit a wrench on it here shortly I hope that give me an answer.

 

18 mm wrench is the only wrench that fits, I will order the pump with the metric fitting.
