Fair value for 2000 Excursion

I am the original owner of a 2000 Excursion 2WD XLT with the 5.4 V8. It has 77,000 miles and I have all the maintenance records. It is in very good shape. I am thinking of getting a 2017 F-250 to replace it and have checked all the online price sources (Edmunds, KBB, NADA) and the prices seem to vary greatly between them. Just curious what you guys think might be a fair private party sell price?

Thanks,
Paul

Without seeing the vehicle: $7500.

The 5.4 kills the value in that vehicle.

a 2000 5.4 2WD even with low miles wont be worth much more than $5k, You`ll probably be lucky to end up around $4k-$4500.

Just a FYI for anyone looking for Excursion values. The dealer is giving me $7000 for my Excursion on a F250 I am ordering for 600 under invoice minus the rebates. It seems like a fair deal. I still have time to try to sell it myself if I want.

Durrrr, is that the 'Trade Difference' or the 'Actual Cash Value' ?

Actual cash value for my Excursion. I negotiated the price of my ordered truck weeks ago. Just mentioned it to show they didn't have much room to inflate the value. It lines up with what KBB shows as trade in value.

If it were me, I would trade it in. Sounds like they are being reasonable.

TRADE THAT THING IN!!! My 03 fully loaded and in damn near excellent condition sold for $3500 or so a few years back when I upgraded to the 04 I currently have. It was a pain to sell with the 5.4 and 2wd. Almost nobody will bite and the ones that do will just try to get it for $2k (not that I blame them).

Its not the 5.4 that would bother me. I live in 4X4 country and couldn't go 2wd.

5.4L motors are highly supported in the aftermarket and with a little TLC and $$$, can put a staggering amount of HP and torque to the ground.

There are even hot side turbo kits you can buy for them that will make turbo installation a breeze. A 5.4 with a turbo and 12 pounds of boost would be a force to be reconed with.

Trade It. Unfortunately you are in possession on one of the most undesired Excursions because of the weight to V8 ratio and the 2wd. When you finally do find someone interested they will lowball you to death.
