1989 f150 4.9 Stick shift
1989 f150 4.9L I6 Stick shift 4x4
Single cab, long bed, dual tank
No title so bought as parts truck but told it ran and drove to discover it went to 1500 rpm and then stalled out.
Loose connection on fuel pump power relay power wire so put switch between this wire and brown wire to fuel pumps.
Both tanks are empty but gauge reads extremely overfilled on front tank. Put a few gallons into this tank as rear tank had some weird buildup and junk in it.kinda like a beehive.
There does appear to be a few new parts under the hood.
I think there may be something wrong with inlin fuel pump.
Any ideas on how to get it running?
How can I tell if it has a LSD or open slip since the truck doesn't run?
Now everyone says to just buy a 4x4 truck but I'm going to do the work to transfer the Manual tranny and 4x4 over to the 90 f150 extended cab short bed e4od if the drive shafts line up, will they?
