'96 EFI 460 in our Dentsde

We finally got this thing running and man, it cranks so easy and just purrs. This is our F250 longbed to shortbed, EFI 7.5/E4OD, Crown Vic, 9" diff project truck.

Just need to bleed the brakes and we will be able to take it for a spin!!!

T/C?

Torque Converter? Yes

Transmission Controller? Yes

This is a stock 120k mile 460/E4OD combo. $400 Craigslist score with complete harness and ECM a couple years ago.

We are thinking about getting a Quarterhorse to tune it a bit and Punisher VB to make the E4OD live a long happy life.

The thing that makes the E4OD live a long, happy life, IMO, is a bigger trans cooler and changing the fluid, including draining the converter, every 25K miles.

I'm no transmission expert, but unless you pull/haul heavy loads often, changing out the fluid that often won't be necessary.

We have put over 500 miles on it so far and it is running like a top. I am very pleased with our $400 craigslist motor and trans!

Finally came up with a speed sensor solution so the E4OD now knows when to shift!

Out Punisher VB will be here this week. Can't wait.
