Sometimes all that is needed is an "upgraded" upholstery job...this is a stock 53 F100 seat:

me too! My bench seat has been subjected to too many fat asses sliding out, springs on the edges are compressed...

Original springs can be re-tied, adjusted, transferred from one side of the seat to the other, and replaced. I believe when my seats were restored, all four of these options were used.

I rebuilt my bench seat. I bought a roll of zig zag work g material, some straight stock, and clips to connect the new to the existing. You can see my step by step process by going to Abe's 54 Rebuild Thread. Lots of pics.

Charlie is that one of your seats and if it is did you put the arm rest in or what looks to be an arm rest? That is a nice looking seat. Thanks

This truck (55 F100) belongs to a friend of mine. The upholstery work was done here in El Cajon at Friendly Upholstery using Ultra Leather material. All of the contouring was done over the stock bench seat springs. I use these photos to illustrate how much a stock seat can be modified to look custom with some imagination and an upholstery guy who can shape foam.

New foam and seat cover from Midfifty. I used some thick wire hangers to redo some of the broken wires.

Check out this link. Goes over some known swaps. I bought the one chevy pickup bench seat but ended up redoing the original.

I have a 1992 C---y pu single cab seat in my 53. Fits great. There used to be a tech thread on here on mounting one. Simple mount.
