58 F-100 Paint Code?

I am trying to figure out what the original color of my 58 was. If i remember correctly the paint code follows the wheel base on the vin tag but mine is painted over so i am not sure. If this is the right spot my color code would be S does anyone know the color that would be?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

attached is a pic of my vin plate

I have original paint chip sheets from about a half dozen different paint manufacturers for 1958 Ford cars and trucks. There is no paint color connected to the code "S" on any of them. I am guessing the "S" code could stand for a "special" paint color as a result of a commercial fleet order or some other special order.

What color is it originally?
My 40 panel was originally county highway orange, a color that wasn't standard.

I don't know the original color at this time. That's why I was trying to get some info on the paint code.
When i start taking it down to metal and go through all the layers of paint hopefully i can see what the first original layer was.

Go down several Layers to see what you will find colour wise, as the Closest to the actual steel will be the best bet.

S = Special (non standard) paint color, truck has a 4 digit DSO (1921) denoting a Domestic Special Order.

To find out what the paint formula was, dealer contacted FoMoCo with 4 digit DSO

FoMoCo looks up the order number for the special color, passes the paint formula back to the dealer.

Unfortunately, there is no way today to discover what the special color was, because FoMoCo THREW AWAY all the records for these trucks.

Makes sense. The 2 tone on my 59 is the white interior
