Should be the same process as without the trim. Best if done on a nice hot day. If you can keep the gasket nice and war it works best. You should be able to use the same swear words as before, no need to invent new ones

After fighting with it for 2 hours, I gladly paid a glassman 35.00 to do it.

Yeah use rope and pull it from the inside. Also silicone lube works well, or soapy water as lube. I am from Michigan originally, but move away when I was 10. New England is hit or miss for snowmobiling. Lots of rocks so usually its hit (a rock that is) When we get enough to have a nice base it warms up then disappears. Then follow by some more. I miss the days of snow at Thanksgiving and it stays around till St. Patty's Day. Good luck on the windshield and you better get a case of beer and invite some friends to help.

i can get the window in ok, just struggling with getting the chrome trim on the gasket, i did pay a guy to put my ranger window in after putting chrome trim on gasket myself, just can't remember what method i used to install the chrome trim on the gasket, maybe i'll have glassman also install chrome trim, i know the trim has to be installed before installing window

The stainless steel windshield reveal mouldings have to be installed in the weatherstrip FIRST, then the weatherstrip is installed on the glass.

There is no way, NONE that once the weatherstrip is installed, that the mouldings can then be installed.

I think it would be a good idea to have the dash pad off. If it still in good condition it would be a shame to trash it installing the windshield.

I used lots of the blue painters tape to hold the gasket on.
I guess you did not get the gasket from DC which comes with instructions.

Using a 3/16' rope then carefully set window into place with rope at the top.

I used two of the Harbor Freight HD metal suction cups to pull on the inside, if you do have a helper. As a side note the plastic suctions cups will pop off ez "junk"

I also used the Harbor Freight nylon little body door tools to aid in pulling the lip over the sheet metal lip and getting the blue tape off.

Not ez when working by yourself placing window in.

Yeah the chrome trim is one big pain in the azz the way it was designed to be installed.

My last windshield with trim, I had Safelite install and have been back twice with the drivers lower corner leaking when it rains. Were having a lot of rain this winter season.

So have a tarp covering the windshield & roof area to keep dry.

I had gotten started to install efi just before it started this dam 5-6 days of rain. for the past month almost completed.

The glass co has a two week back up for any window service an the day, I was suppose to go back for them to fix the leak we had one of the worst rains storms coming in that morning so did not go in wanting my floor wet again. As it took 10 days to dry out before.

I have put 2'' wide painters blue tape on the leak area for when, I can may it back to the glass shop if still raining.

I got the efi install and running but have to get the idle down an every time, I start to fine tune the efi it starts raining.
