Hey guys, new member as well a new ford owner. I just got my new Superduty with no running boards. I really didn't want the lower running boards. However I like the way the f150 running boards sit. I know they have the same cab? So could I just put the f150 running boards on?
Welcome to FTE. As you said, with the same cab, they should fit. I don't recall anyone trying yet though so you may have to be the guinea pig on this one. Let us know what you find out and congrats on the new truck!
I'm curious as well. I would guess that anything mounted to the body would fit, but not if they are mounted to the frame. Not Ford specific, but I've seen running boards attach to both and I don't know which method Ford uses.
Yes they fit perfectly. I looked at my Uncles 2016 F-150 Crew Cab Mount studs, then looked at my 2017 studs and they are the exact same. Ordered and mounted a pair of F-150 Crew Cab Go Rhino RB 10 Running boards and they fit perfectly. Click here for larger picture.

Reason: picture size
So out of curiosity are there any F150 brackets that won't bolt straight up to the Superduty frame/steps? I will be doing this mod to my Superduty someday and want to try and make sure I have it all lined up beforehand.
