2012 or 2013?

Hey fellas,
I currently own an 05' 6.0 and am looking to upgrade this summer. I'll be looking at either a 2012 or a 2013 6.7 , anything I should look for in them or anything I should avoid while looking? Is one year better than the other mechanically. I'm starting to do some research now and saw a lot about the 2011's and 2015 updates but not finding much between the 12-13's other than the interior update in the 13. What would you guys recommend?

I've always had the mindset that the newer you can get the better providing the trade off in mileage is comparable.

Early 12's had a turbo issue not sure when they corrected it but if before the update make sure it was replaced. Both had the radiator issue that usually let go around 40-50,000. Those are the big ones. Depending on how the previous owner treated it you should not run into emission issues till you reach 150,000-200,000.

Go with a 2013.

If you can wait a few more weeks I know that there are 2015 trucks being sold. Thousands of people are wanting the new 2017 models and I really think a 2015 would be available to you with some decent miles. Mine is 2 1/2 years old now with 145,000 on it.

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm leaning towards the 2013 but just wanted to make sure. I also saw the 13 got the HD alternator standard.

The '13 has larger brakes, a little higher tow capacity and My Ford Touch with the Nav system over the 2012 models.

I have a 2012 with no problems, but I am with the other guys here. If you can, newer is better!
