302 injectors

302 injectors




i order new injectors for my 95 f150 with the 302. They are remand injectors. I opened the box to find that it seems they shipped me 2 different types of injectors. 2 of them have a black tip and the they appear to be the same as stock. The other 6 have a yellow tip and seem to have some sort of pin where the ports should be. I have posted pictures to show what I'm talking about. My question is do I need to return the yellow tip ones cuz they sent the wrong ones? Or are both types of injectors fine to use together in my truck?

They sent you a mix of the older and newer style injectors, single hole versus 4 hole. The latter are supposedly a little more efficient. Regardless, I would not mix-n-match. For remans. I highly suggest the single hole version.

I believe the early version are referred to as EV1 and the later version w/4 holes is EV6.

The 4 hole injectors are prone to sticking open, so despite the fact they atomize fuel better than the early pintle style they're not worth the hastle IMO.

Who did you purchase the Reman injectors from ?

I would not like to have same thing happen to me or others..

Seeing how I have a leaking injector that's good to know. I plan to replace them all real soon. Conanski, do you have a preferred brand? I'll be looking for remanufactured to save money but I've read good things on the Denso injectors. I'm driving a stock 94 E150 with a 302.
