OT - Vinyl Stickers

Anyone have custom vinyl letters cut? I'm thinking of having a few different sayings done in vinyl to see if I like it on my f1. Anyone have any suggestion? What type of vinyl? And what about printed vinyl wrap material? Also what about the perforated window graphics?

Not exactly vinyl lettering, but I figured I would say something yet stay roughly correct to the year of my 1954 truck, so Betty has exactly one bumper sticker on her. On the back window on a wood grain with bullet holes background: "Re-elect Eisenhower".
(The internet is a great place to find old bumper stickers, or to make your own like I did.)

So, for your '49, I guess you could go with either Truman or Dewey...

My buddy ran a sign shop and did all kinds of this vinyl work, you may try one in your area. He printed the perforated graphics on vinyl using some big *** printer. He gave me part of a roll of the perforated vinyl, I painted it and used it to black out my taillights. At the local mall there is a kiosk that will make any bumper sticker that you want. The wife has some Cricket machine that she uses to cut letters out for her crafts.

This is the only old style sticker I'm putting on my truck, but I just want the Rope, Star & Lettering. My truck was built in Texas and I like the sticker they started using.

Here is what I want to cover the rear window black outside and gray lettering... Since my truck is from the darkside. Not sure if I want "From The" or just "The".

I also want to find a 49 Texas license plate to hang in the garage and have just incase I ever end up in Texas with the truck.

I've got two: 'I Like Ike' and 'Give 'em Hell Harry'. It generates a chuckle from the historically aware and a lesson for those who ask. Instead of just 'sticking' them on, I used a sheet of magnetic stock from a hobby store.

Coops Stickers, I have several different ones from them. One of my favorites is a Mobil oil one that says: So what if it burns more oil than gas, good luck. L8R ZFLASH

We have some wrapped vehicles at work. We spec Gerber High Performance by 3M. A qualified graphic design shop should know which vinyl will stand up best to UV.

Good Luck,

If you want it to last buy the best. Some vinyl won't make it through the first year.

As far as what type of vinyl... There are really only 2 types.

"Calendared Vinyl" are the cheapest and will shrink and crack over time. But are fine for short term.

"Cast Vinyl" stays flexible and are easier to remove when that time comes. Generally they can be removed and will not leave all of the glue behind.
