64 4 speed t98/t18 speedo gear update
I recently got a matching set of tire and now my speed is closer to correct , @numberdummy now 45 is 55 and I'm running 225/60/r16s and a 3.25 neg. 9" rear , my gear has 20 teeth ,
now on the previous thread I did , but no one really answered whether I had a t98 or not, but I wasn't around when they swapped this tranny ,the power claimed it was out of an army jeep. I'm assuming but have no idea as some people online claim that some t98 came in t18 cases or maybe it was the other way around. But it's reverse is over and up so it's one of the two I think. But to day I saw a gear like mine on ebay and it said t150...I looked it up and novok guides say it's a 3 spped...so I don't think that's right but I said they were normally in jeeps so..maybe they werent counting granny low.
Any helps arecieated

Each tooth of the DRIVEN speedometer gear is approx. 5 to 7 MPH .. Your current gear (Marked: O1T-C = Ford part number: O1T-17271-C) has 20 teeth.
In order to slow the speedo down, you need to add teeth.
You're going to have to decide if you want a 21 or 22 tooth DRIVEN gear. Be aware that with radial tires, the speedo will never read correctly.
T-98 used thru 1964, T-18 introduced in 1965.
