05 NAVIGATOR SPARK PLUGS

I have a 2004 with the single piece plugs. I changed the plugs and coils without any real issues, just some grunt work and the requirement of numerous robble sockets, extensions, etc. You also need to remove a lot of incidentals to provide good/easy access especially back at the firewall.
Well worth the effort when you consider the savings with having a dealer do the work.
Good luck.

Most any place would charge you $400-$600 to change them, more for any that break. I suggest you spend the money and get the OEM plugs (Motorcraft SP493, SP-493, AGSF32PM). They're good for 100K miles so it's not worth using cheaper ones that might fail or not last as long.

If it's a '05 Navigator, it has the same 3V 5.4 as the Expy, which means he needs the long SP-515 plugs. And be sure to put some anti-seize on the long neck, and a dab on the threads to avoid future issues with breakage. Just don't get any anti-seize on the ground strap or electrode.
