suggestion on a 94 bronco!!!!

Hello everyone I'm new to this site an I have a friend that has a 94 bronco an he wants $500. He said all it need is a fuel pump but it's been sitting for 2 years. It has the 5.0 in it an it looks really solid. I was just wondering if it would be a good buy or if it's been sitting for to long. I know I could get my money back out of it but I wanted to use it as my personal truck an I don't want it to be a money pit. Any suggestions Would ba much appreciated. Thanks.

Simple answer: Great buy as a project vehicle or toy, don't even think about it as a DD.

Even if you spend $10k it's cheaper than a new one.

But the best game plan is to have two vehicles.....

Yeah if that was near me I'd buy it in a heartbeat. I'm actually looking to buy another Bronco for super cheap within a year so I can take it with me on active duty instead of bring my current one. I don't want to have rust or other issues mess my current Bronco up!

my 96' just sat for 5 years and after I replaced fuel tank, pump and sending unit, it started after 20 seconds of cranking. I was surprised and thought for sure the injectors would be fouled. Like the others, I would buy it for 500. just my .02
