My '16 F250 is an interesting mix of old and new.

Door panels and glove box panel are identical to my old 2010 F250. Ford saved some money there.

Seats and center stack are identical to my old 2013 F150 that I traded in.

Instrument cluster is new (to me).

So while a new '16, the truck is still has a very familiar feel. Most of the buttons are where I expect them to be.

But . . .

Everything inside has changed from my buddy's '06 F250, which I drive occasionally.

Cannot even compare the '16 to my '00 F250 7.3l that I just sold.

 

I remember noticing the license plate lights on my fifteen being the same they have been having for like forty years. And since I'm 2WD of course I have twin I-beam. And no I'm not complaining.
But I do wish I had a standard with a granny low first.

 

I had an 11', 13' and now a 15' and 16' Super Duty. Thats what I liked about them. The 16' is identical to the 11'

 

Too bad no 8-track tape player, right?
