84 f 250 cab floor reg cab
Advice needed.
Thought we were ready to drive her home tonight and start using the truck until we do the body, BUT....
The rear cab floor is rotted through in a few spots the worst being around the lower seat belt mounts toward the center under rear of seat.
Does anyone know if replacement panels of the rear floor pans and the rear center tunnel are available. I've seen all the standard front floor pans and rocker parts but cant find any rear parts or even the whole floor pan. I can fab and form it myself but thought it would save time and work if they are already available somewhere.
Thank you,Craig

That is a very unusual place for it to rust out. 99% of the trucks rust out the cabs on the sides where the tires throw junk up against the cab, and where the roof seams over the doors leak water.
I do not think you are going to find panels for the center under the seat, they just do not rust out there very much. I worked on a very very rusty 89 once, and it wasn't rusted there, but was rusted all along the lower back of the cab to floor area. I took a long piece of metal and bent it in a 90 degree L and made my own patch for that.

Yes I agree on the unusual/ There are reinforced oval plates under the floor skin I assume to keep seat belts mounts from pulling through in a crash. The truck had a lot of mice nests and urine in it which I think contributed to rust in quite a few places. Also found out the drivers side rain gutter, roof skin seal had started leaking which let a lot of moisture in as well. Wouldnt be too hard to repair floor except for all those indents. I hasd installed auto carpet with like a closed cell foam padding years ago and I think the pad was acting like a vapor barrier once water or moisture got underneath and restricted the drying or evaporation. Every stinking time we think were ready to put it on the road we run into something else.

If it's not structural, go to the store and get some fiberglass cloth, fiberglass and hardner, and a cheap paint brush. Clean the area up, mix up your fiberglass and paint it on the metal, lay down the cloth, and then soak the fiberglass into the cloth with the brush. Push it all down in those indentions as good as you can. Come back the next day and spray some primer over it, I bet it won't look too bad.

I don't remember seeing anyone selling that part when I was looking for the panels to repair my truck but then again I was not looking because I did not need it.
OP where do you live? I have a parts truck that I think the rear part is good, have not pulled the mat or seat to check but if you are close you can come cut it out.
