Although not identical to the 379852-S3 clip, a slightly smaller clip was used on the 64/65 Falcon that is reproduced and available from Mac's. It is 1/2 x 3/8 x 11/16 stem. If you turn it with the 1/2" long side vertically it should work. it is available in a lower dash trim kit that includes 4 clips and 6 screws, p/n 90-14526-1 for $7.49. The screws can be used to install the Custom Cab sweep style gauge cluster.

Also, both the trim at the windshield and the lower dash are the same: C0AB 604439.

These style clips are also available in bulk but I don't know what sizes are available yet. If I can crack the code on the sizes I will post a link where we can get these for dirt cheap.

I know we were PMing about this just now. Look up Section 030 Page 5 for the moulding and the clips are just below them. I added the word (short) for my own clarity.

RH Instrument Panel Moulding C4TZ-8104332-A 1
LH Instrument Panel Moulding (short) C4TZ-8104333-A 1
Clip 379852-S3 8

These clips are larger than the

Instrument Panel Moulding Retainer C0AB-6404439-F

Trim clips.

The center dash uses 10 like this.

This one goes under the windshield, holds the long piece of trim. 12 clips required.

Well don't lose any of the upper clips because I don't think anyone makes a good replacement.

The clip that is reproduced is 1/2" on the long side, 3/8 on the short side. By installing it vertically instead of horizontally it could work in the lower dash trim.

I've also considered using a modern plastic clip with a flat head and the multiple flat side barbs. There are several vendors who sell this same style clip in bulk, but they don't give dimensions. They came in at least 3 different sizes and were used by both Ford and Chrysler.

66v8baby, They are called xmas tree retainers. I just looked at a 1000! I think maybe Ace Hardware. Take one of the larger head type and trim down to a 1/4".

Interesting place from the sound of it. Robert seems to have a login here (Robertcontr) but he hasn't logged in since October 2014 timeframe.

That's awesome! I knew they still had to be in production, just needed to find a source. I got impatient and ordered a box of 5/8" x 5/8" clips and wrestled them down to fit. I think I'll jist call Robert and order the correct ones.

Thanks for the info!!

Unless Robert has a secret stash of NOS stuff, I suspect any clips from him will be take-offs from trucks they have dismantled for parts.......
