Clutch linkage

im redoing a 79 f150 4x4 it has a junk 351m in it I'm going a 351w rout.. the truck is a manual my question is will the z bar bracket that's on the bellhousing for the m work on a bellhousing for a Windsor thanks in advance

I am pretty sure the Z-bar connects to the engine block, not the bell. If your W motor has a place for the ball to screw into, you are in luck.

This deals with adding a provision in a later block. You will see the position of the stock ball stud as well:

FWIW, I would rebuild the 351M into a 9.5 400 with a nice cam. Serving suggestion....

I would but I'm so use to the 351/400 figure to try something new but from what I seen my 351m has a bracket I didn't know if 302 351w had the brackets.. and the blocks I'd be using is 80s carb
