Are the seats that bad?

I'm one of the guys getting rid of my truck. Everyone's backs are different. Seems the design tweaks some of us including myself. Wife has no issue in my truck, neighbor says it's uncomfortable but no pain. From my side, I am in complete pain within about 30 minutes.
Odd thing is, I don't really have back issues. I've owned nearly everything out there including very raw cars like Porsche GT3 and Vipers that have essentially padded racing buckets. No issues at all. Something about this seat design just tweaks my lower back.
This will be the first time in 15 years I don't have a Ford truck sitting in my driveway.

I liked more lumbar support in my 2009 F150 than the power cable adjusted support provided, so I just unzipped the back of the seat and put a folded up dish towel between the lumbar support plastic plate and the seat. Surely there's a way to make the seat comfortable for you. Is the lumbar too much or too little? Typically too little hurts the very bottom of your spine (L1) and too much hurts midway up your back.

I had the same issue with an Honda Odyssey until I figured out that I needed the lumbar support set very differently. I suggest trying the lumbar support in the opposite setting you have to see if that solves the issue.

I have tried lifting the front of the lower seat cushion, lowering it and every lumbar position in between. I find them uncomfortable, within 30 minutes I get a burning pain like a pinched nerve. Probably in the 1% of people that will have issues, that's my luck!

Been there and done all that unfortunately. I went as far as seeing a Chiropractor and asking them to review how I had the seat set. It seems that there is too much lower lumbar. I've gone as far as removing the lumbar support completely. It helped some but not enough. I've added upholstery foam in about 6 different configurations, some better than others, but no complete relief.

Not saying you don't have back issues...because obviously you do...but seriously....if it causes you that much pain with ALL the adjustability this seat provides....how can you drive ANY vehicle without getting a "super" custom seat to avoid your pain??? I would just find it amazing that you could go jump in a Chevy and say Lordy Jesus this seat is the answer!! Awesome. I feel your pain....but I ponder your resolution. Good luck and hope you get to feeling better.
