Emblem and Badges Project with Part Numbers!

Thought I would show the brethren what the emblems and side badges look like being broke down for a little paint match action. Tougher and more violent to separate compared to the older emblems. Here are the part numbers. Took a solid week to track these down because all online parts dealers don't have up to date info for the 2017s.

Front Ford Emblem (no camera).
•HC3Z-8213-B
Rear Ford Emblem.
•HC3Z-9942528-B
Fender Badges (F-350 Lariat).
•HC3Z-16720-CC
•HC3Z-16720-CD

Painting the blue on the emblems Magnetic. Leaving the "Ford" and rings chrome. Something like this:

Side badges will be done just like these, only Magnetic:

Truck should be here the week of March 13th.

Just dropped them off today to get painted. Buddy had some Magnetic paint left over after painting an Explorer so he is gonna knock these out for me. I'll post some pics up when he gets done and I glue them back together.

Harder than the 2012-2016 emblems. Not terrible though.

I love the look of these custom touches, but what about the process. Do you strip off or scuff the plastic chrome before spraying the color?

I believe you just rough the chrome up, prime, paint, clear and done. I am having this set done. My experiment with the ones I take off the truck.
