What did you use for support between the hood and the support bracket? it was some kind of felt I think I don't think I could staple something back in there anyway

 

Not sure if there was a washer/grommet on the bolt to spring connection originally .

I will have to look at the manual. I do know that I went to open the hood one day and it cocked as I raised it. the bolt had come loose, allowing the spring to contract from the cab body. One of my things to correct this Spring.

 

I don't know if a washer was there also used a shoulder bolt/nyloc nut
anyone use 3M 08463 foam on the support brace to under side of the hood

 

I'm wondering if a battery terminal felt washer would work ? The I.D. maybe too large though.
