Tried to replace PCM and now won't start.

I am having throttle issues on my 07 5.4 so after trying a new throttle body that did not fix the problem, I tried a new PCM and it wouldn't start afterwards so I put the old PCM back on and it still won't start. When I turn the key on, the PATS light on the dash blinks quickly for a minute or two, then quits.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Ken

It is NOT possible to simply swap a PCM on any Ford truck that is equipped with PATS, it cannot work.

You've probably faulted the PATS and its going to have to be re-paired to the truck by a dealer. You may be able to take them your PCM and VIN # for a reset without towing the truck in, but you'd have to call and ask. EDIT -- Thanks !

They will say "Tow it in". That's all that can be done at this point.

OK, I called the Ford dealer and he wanted $265 for reprogramming plus the tow charge. I called a Mobil mechanic who came by and reprogrammed and updated it for $120.
