I love the 59-86 tailgates that have the big old Ford painted on them. Is it possible to get an 80+ tailgate with that Ford printing to fit on a Brick nose?

 

You should be able to get a decal made almost anywhere. The Ford script logo is very common and uploading it to a decal maker should do it.

 

I don't think he's going for the Ford script. I think he wants the tailgate with the big F O R D raised letters stamped in the sheet metal and painted (or decaled) to a contrasting color.

I know there are a lot of similarities in the beds from '80 - '86/87, so I'd guess an '80 - '86 gate would be the right dimensions. Whether the hinges / latches / support straps (or cables) would work is the question.

Some bricknose trucks came stock with a tailgate that has the FORD lettering which will fit on any styleside bricknose or OBS. They can be hard to find in decent shape though.

86 and older tailgate will need a lot of work to fit on a 87 and newer body.
the latch assemblies are completely different.
