Question Gas smell - 87 Bronco

Hello, Im new to this board, seems like very good info here. I looked for this but didn't find anything about it. Own a Ranger along with a full-size Bronco. The problem is the Bronco....

87 Bronco, brand new 302, it seems that when the gas tank is anything under completely full, I get a gas smell inside while driving. Rear window is closed. Seems worse on any kind of turn I make. Worse on a right turn.

Any clue what this is? It's really annoying, and stinks...

Thanks

One thing you may want to check is the fuel filler tube in the back of your truck Sometimes when the fuel tank is removed the filler tube or the vent tube is not reinstalled properly.

Reacon it's a clue to stop smoking

I would also first check the filler tube. If not, Chock wheels and put on parking brake, keep truck running - climb under truck and take a good look at lines, around gas tank area where the sending unit is, and between tank guard and tank. Don't forget to check under the hood also - could be fumes traveling towards the back.........LOL

Had the same problem when I first got my Bronco. The vent hose was loose on the top of the tank. Plugged it into the hole and whala! no more smell.
