I can't remember where i saw it, but november 2017 is what I've seen so far.

What really has me excited is the fact that it is NOT a VM engine. Both the ram 1500 and chevy colorado diesels use Italian VM engines. The ram 3.0 eco-diesel is proving itself to be problematic and short-lived. It's too early to tell on the 2.7 "duramax"

The 3.0 powerstroke is a ford designed and produced engine. From what i userstand, it is already in use in Europe in one of the land rovers with good feedback so far.

The 2.7 by design is pretty good. But I like the idea of same power as my 7.3 powerstroke and gets 30MPG

Ford stated that it is an all new engine designed especially for the F150 but will be made in Europe

Not yet. I don't expect them to announce for months, maybe even next fall

So it's true?? F150 diesel option.

So many questions, so little answers.

What will the cost be??
Will it really shut off at every red light?
Milage, HP/Torque ratings?
Towing?
Availability?
How practical will it really be next to the Ecoboost?

There's the million dollar question. I will assume it will be as reliable as the 6.7 has proven to be.

I think it can be done at 30MPG. As when we were in Iraq they had these 2wd Ranger diesels getting around 50MPG

According to Ford, the 3.0 Powerstroke is supposed to come out the first quarter of 2018.

Yes but according the company behind the tech of the CGI-block, Sintercast the engine will have SOP in about 6 months from now.

" Diesel sales are scheduled to begin in the autumn of 2017."

I think Ford will start sales just after the State Fair of Texas
