SCT X4 update/TPMS fix!
I know I may be late to the party on this, but THANK YOU for the updated 5 Star Tuning that now allows for tire pressure monitor sensors to be adjusted as an option when loading the tune. Once I bought the device, I have not updated it or really paid it any attention since, other than loading the desired tune.
I have been bouncing between performance and tow tunes for 3 years, and have not loaded any of the software updates to the tuner. Recently I had new tires installed on the truck (275/70/18 Falken Wildpeak AT3Ws- really like them so far), and the TPMS warnings were giving me a fit when I ran the tires at 65psi. Running 75+ PSI made the truck ride like a log hauler. So after checking with 5 Star, I was pleased to learn that the SCT device updates (free- just download from their site to your device) now allows for TPMS adjustments both front and rear.
One important note- before you update your SCT device or download a software update, BE SURE to return your truck to stock. There is a link to the SCT update on 5 Star's website under "support."
I know that 5 Star tunes are popular, and for good reason. Just thought I would share this since the TPMS warnings can be a real pain. Happy motoring.
