"Dusted" 1997 7.3L Diesel
Can anyone help me find the recall Ford did on the airbox of the 1997 7.3 Litre diesel. I have a situation where the dealership says the lube/oil service shop must have failed to properly reattach the filter cover after the air filter was changed, but the filter shop insists the cover was properly replaced. I heard that the plastic screws holding the lid on were recalled and replaced with metal ones because of this kind of problem. I can't find the recall info though

I found the following by using the search feature of this site and specifying "airbox recall"
Airbox:
Check the two bolts holding down the airbox lid. If they are plastic with a square recess, it is a recalled part. The recall is expired, but without the updated lid the risk of dirt infiltration is greater, the lid was updated with more supports and the updated bolts are metal with a straight slot. If it is the old style, you spend around $80 to update it.
