HELP! Im broke down (5.4L triton straight piped ) oil leaking also!

Just bought this as a daily driver. This being my first truck and USED with over 100k in miles, I got it at a deal, but im worried it might be a lemon. The engine is giving off 8 codes (listed below) that I pulled off my obd2 wifi scanner. This morning was a faliure to start with all lights appearing on the dash. There is allot of accumilation around the terminials on the battery as well but the scanner read nothing about a faulty charge. Please if anyone can help me out im trying to have my truck working soon so I can stop asking for rides

ERROR CODES:

P1131
P0171
P0174
P0316
P1151
P0401

Well I only see 6 codes listed.
The 171/174 and 1131/1151 are associated with the same fault.
The 401 is a test fault of the EGR system.
As for the oil, clean it all off with spray cleaner so you can see where it's coming from.
.
The 171/174 and associated codes are due to a vacuum leak on top behind the vertical art of the intake manifold.
.
The 401 code is likely due to the ports between the EGR valve and the same intake as above being plugged with carbon.
It has to be taken apart and clean the two ports open.
The 316 code is random misfires detected upon starting. There is one or more cylinders misfiring.
Pays top look up the code descriptions and understand what they tell you.
Nothing unusual, you just have some work to do on a truck with age on it.
It's t be expected..
Good luck.

thanks for the help! just went to check out the PVC in that part of the engine and found one that looks like its causing the leak. I attached the image and is it something easy to find at advanced or pepboys? Will the battery in that condition cause these issues? Its supposedly new

What year is this?
Doubt the battery would cause any of those tripped codes or trouble, albeit, maybe not the best shape. As Long as it holds voltage and the alternator is charging properly it is low on the priority list.

The photo of the 2 lines appears to be the heater core lines going into the fire wall and one has signs of weepage ...which can cause misfires on the passenger side bank. BUT you probably would have has misfire code only for that side if that was the sole culprit.

Best to address the EGR issue, misfires and vacuum leaks 1st and the oil leaks. Maybe a fresh set of spark plugs and boots are in order for the misfires but if you still have a vacuum leak it also might trip misfires on startup

The line you show does need attention and could even be the source of misfire in the cylinders under it but your not even close on the 171/174 issue.
The PCV line goes form the valve cover to the rear of the intake.
It's mostly at the rear connection it goes bad.
Again the 401 code is due to low or no exhaust flow in the EGR system test for some reason you need to determine.
If your not comfortable with doing this work, farm it out to a good shop.
The truck needs a good amount of maintenance and clean up by the looks after 15 to 17 years of life.
This is why you get what appears to be a good deal because the last owner did not want to do it.
Good luck.
