2004 F150 Parasitic Battery Drain

I have a 2004 F150 which I bought in May of 2015. My battery drains down in about 10 days since I bought it and ruined the battery. It now has a new Motorcraft battery in it and I don't want to ruin it. I have done testing to see which fuse circuit is causing the draw and have reached this point so far. If pull out the power door lock fuse (PDL) fuse #107 the battery will stay charged for weeks. Before the PDL fuse is taken out the draw at the battery is .31 amps after it's out it's drawing .02 amps which is ideal. Note, tests are done with key out and 45 minute wait. I rigged up a way to test the PDL circuit at the fuse box by making a gizmo with leads coming out of it so I could attach to my meter. When hooking up the meter, I get fuse box relay #R201 - trailer tow park lamps - clicking and another relay clicking in the cab wall behind the driver's seat. Is that the BSM? At that point, the draw is oddly .00 amps unless I lock the doors and then it spikes to over 3.00 amps for a fraction of a second and then returns to .00 amps.

Next I started testing other fuses with the PDL fuse IN and when I pulled fuse #21 which is the cluster keep alive I get the same before and after result in current reduction. Not sure what to do next. Would a scan indicate if a module is bad? I would gladly take it in to the Orange Ford in Albany NY if the scan would pinpoint the problem.

BCM Unit is out and pins are clean. The part number is 4L3T-15604-AE At this point, waiting for a quote from https://moduleexperts.com to diagnose and repair as all I see on line is used ones. Many thanks for your interest in helping.

Purchased a used body security module from http://stores.ebay.com/tjparadise/ for $81 which came with a 60 day warranty and had Orange Ford in Albany NY install the part for $120. Keyless entry code is printed on the module. Draw is now fluctuating between .02 and .03 amps.

I'm having a similar problem. It seems my issue is intermittent. It doesn't matter if doors are locked or unlocked or if I use the locks or not. It's stored for the winter in SE Minn. in cold storage. Left unlocked continuously but problem still is intermittent. It might pull the battery down in 4-5 days nut it may remain almost unchanged after waiting a month. Has been a problem since early fall last year. Tested and retested fuses breakers, replaced alt. with brand new not reman, and battery. Bought the gel type six pack battery. Still the same. I'm stuck and not sure how you turned out with your issue and if it sounds familiar. Please let me know if you would!!

The used Body Security Module did the trick in my case. After installing the BSM, the draw on the battery was .02 amps.

I sent the bad BSM to https://moduleexperts.com to diagnose and repair as I wanted to have a reserve one on hand should the used BSM go bad. There are so few available. This cost $199 plus shipping. They diagnosed the unit as having a short on the board and deemed it bad. They only charged the diagnostic fee of $89 dollars. After hanging up, I had an idea that they could throw it away and reimburse me the prepaid return shipping cost. I was too late when I called back as it had already shipped it.

This truck has a keypad entry option and the 5 digit code was printed on the BSM.
