I think this is/was an entry in the I can build it worser than you can contest - I heard that they have all tied for last except for one - They drew that one from a hat so that there was a first and last place
The picture reminds me of an incident almost 50 years ago. I had a 356 Porsche. I came thru an intersection and went to upshift. My bride was with me. The shift lever broke off at the base. I calmly asked my wife if she could shift for me as I handed her the floor shift lever. After coasting to the side of the road I went to my limited carry on tools which included a pair of vice grips. There was/is a removable plate behind the seats where the shift rod in the tunnel attaches to the transmission. I clamped the vice grips to the shift rod such that I could move the shift rod forward or back and roll the rod to change the gates in the transmission. This is all done with the vice grips behind you while steering and by definition every shift position is reversed from normal. We got home, no tow truck required (I do not remember having flatbeds or roll backs in those days). One car that I would like to own today. The sale of it became a down payment on our first house.
Looks kind of like the start of one of those old wheelie dragster truck mods from the late 60's. does it have 2 brake pedals or levers so you can steer with the front end in the air?

With 100 hp(at best)from that ol flatty, I doubt you ever have to worry about wheelies....
